Action for Media Education was one of the STEPS partners. Its STEPS project, Food for Thought, involved the development and pilot testing of a multi-media program designed to reach parents of young children and teach them about the influence of media on their children’s food choices. This multi-media program was developed in collaboration with Washington Head Start and Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) parents for presentation by parents to parents. This website is an extension of that project and has been made possible with STEPS funding and the support of the Northwest Center for Excellence in Media Literacy.

The Food for Thought resource book that is
available for download here was developed as a supplementary piece to the multi-media Food for Thought presentation. Members of Action for Media Education are now available to provide the Food for Thought presentation to anyone having interest.
